how can we correct type of visa whilst in china?

My daughter is currently in  China as a teaching intern for less than 6 months under a student X type. She was advised this was correct but has heard she might now be deported as incorrect visa. Can she amend to correct via and what would be the correct type?

Kim, in principle, she should apply for a work Z type for her teaching intern in PRC. But I’m not sure if she can amend it currently because she has begun her internship. But she can have a try. She can go to the exit and entry administration of the local PSB and try to change her student X type to work Z type.
