About:Kunming Airport

Kunming transit <24 hrs for indian passport

Hi..i will be travelling from india to hongkong via Changshui Airport. Will transit for around 8 hrs before my flight to hongkong. Do i need a transit visa as India is not one of the 51 countries that is allowed visa free transit.
Pls help

The 51 countries on list are for 72h visa-free transit. As you will layover for less than 24h, you are actually eligible for the 24h visa-free transit. Apply for a stay permit at the immigration counter and you will be allowed to leave the airport.
