About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Coming from Los Angeles to Japan stoping in Shanghai for 20 hours.

I am an Ecuador citizen residing in the USA. My flight stops for 20 hours in Shanghai coming from Los Angeles and then I take a connection to Tokyo. Can I apply for a transit visa at entry or can I use the 72-hour-free-transit? Thank you.

Javier, you can apply for the 24-hour free transit upon entry. It's a stamp on your passport and free of charge.
