About:Fenghuang Ancient Town

I plan to visit Shanghai for business and to spend a few leisure days in Phoenix Ancient Town

What is your suggestion best way to travel to the ancient town, i dont mind the train, thanks for your advice

I suggest you take a high speed train from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station to Changsha South Station first within around 5.5h. Then walk to the nearby Lituo Bus Station and catch a direct bus to the old town within 5h.

Thanks and looks like another long journey needed by bus, any alternative way if I don't fly to Shanghai

Well, you may fly to Changsha. Next, take a bullet train to Huaihua South from Changsha South Railway Station (about 1.5 hours). Then, take a taxi to Huaihua West Bus Station. Afterwards, take a direct coach to the town (about 1 hour).
