Staying overnight in Jinshanling

Hi,
I'm going to China this coming October. I'll go to the wall part of my trip and I want to stay there overnight. Is the Hotel is inside the area (passing through the ticket entrance?). I want to watch sunset and sunrise and I'm concern the entrance to the hiking route to the great wall is closed during sunset and sunrise. If I stay at the hotel, can I hike up to the great wall and watch sunset and sunrise? is the entrance open for hikers who stay at the hotel?
