Which hotel or where should I stay for catching a 6.50 plane at Pudong airport?

I will do sightseeing in Shanghai on the day before. Should I stay at a hotel in the city and get the taxi to the airport at night, or should I find the hotel near the airport (will there be a shuttle bus?), or should I catch the last train to the airport and wait for the plan? Which is the best option for the group of girls?

According to your departure time, no shuttle bus will be suitable for you and only taxi will be available. Here are two ways for your reference, you can choose the one you like:
1. stay at a hotel in the downtown area and take a taxi to the airport in the early morning. You should be at the airport at least 2 hours ahead of departure for a domestic flight and 3 hours for an international flight. It usually takes about an hour on the way from downtown to airport.
2. Stay at a hotel nearby the airport. I know there is one just between the T1 and T2. You can stay there. In the case, you can have more sleep.
