About:China Work Visa

Residence and Work permit

Hi
I'm going to work in China for 6 months on a z visa.
Firstly does anyone know the cost of the residence and work permit applications once I'm in PRC? Also there are many sites that list the documents needed for the permits but no where does it explain what these are, the content and for some of them, where to obtain/apply to. Eg there are various departments that need to issue certificates/letters etc. is there anyone who knows of a site that clearly spells these out in detail?

Thank you!

FS, your employer will apply for the alien employment permit (work permit) for you and it is free of charge. You don’t need to worry about it. After you find a job in PRC, your employer will get the work permit and invitation letter of duly authorized unit for you. After, you can apply for work Z type to enter PRC.
After enter PRC, your company will apply for the residence permit for you. Considering your situation, you just need a residence permit valid for less than a year, so it will cost CNY 400.
