I'm planning to go to Great Wall in October....

I'm going to stop over to the Philippines for 2 days then fly to Beijing...do I have to get a visa in the USA? Then I proceed to Beijing? I'm returning back to The Philippines to fly to the U S

Felma, if you stop over in the Philippines on both ways, you cannot enjoy the 72-hour free transit policy and you need to prepare an L type entry permit ahead of time. I advise you to take a direct flight from Beijing to the US on your way back so that you can make use of the free transit policy.
