About:China Visa Application in USA

Do I actually need to purchase my airfare ticket to China before I apply for my visa?

What happens if I purchase my ticket and my application is not approved

Lisa, you can just book the tickets. It's not necessary to pay for the booking orders immediately. You can wait to pay the money until your application is passed.
