About:Beijing Capital Airport Shuttle Bus

Getting from Capital International Airport to Grand Hyatt Beijing

I have an 8 hours stopover at PEK. Looking to meet a friend at Grand Hyatt and browse around Wangfujing. Should I use the Airport Express Train or Airport Shuttle Bus?

U may take the shuttle bus line 13 and get off at Jinyu Hutong (Peace Hotel) in around 50min. Then walk south for 6-8min through Xiaowei Hutong to the hotel, which is within 3-5min walking distance to Wangfujing. If by airport express train, you still need to transfer at Dongzhimen, and taxi as I heard is hard to catch there. Just make full use of your time to roam around.

Would you suggest using the subway from Dongzhimen. According to the subway map:
At Dongzhimen: transfer to Line 2 towards JianGuoMen
At JianGuoMen: transfer to Batong Line towards WangFu Jing

We are trying to get to WangFuJing during 4pm to 6pm. We suspect that the roads would be packed during that time. So not sure if subway would be better during that period

Well, from Dongzhimen to Wangfujing Street, you can take subway line 2 to Dongzhimen Station and transfer to line 6 to Dongsi Station, Exit E. After arriving, walk west along West Dongsi Street around 700 yards (640 meters) to arrive at the destination.
Besides, if you don't have many luggage, you are suggested to take the subways at the rush hours.
