How to get a VOA from Beijing and Shenyang

Hi, I'm Edmar, currently working here in Thailand. I'm planning to travel this coming October to Shenyang, China. Have valid passport holder with visa, and working permit holder. So, from Bangkok I'll be traveling to Beijing by plane, after reaching Beijing, I have to take a train from Beijing to Shenyang. I'm doing this kind of trip because I want to explore different cities in China and also to save money while traveling from different places to another. My concern is how can I get a visa from different ports. Do I have to fill up a two forms from different ports or just one form and show the documents in hand? How much money will prepare to pay the visa? How many days permitted for the tourist to stay in China? And the visa, can be extended before it expires? I really need your help.

Thank you,

Edmar

Edmar, you cannot get VOA in Beijing or Shenyang. You should apply for a tourist L type in Thailand before your trip. You should first prepare the relevant materials including your passport and copy of its data page, the application form attached with a passport-style photo, your residence permit in Thailand, a financial standing proof, round trip air tickets and accommodation reservation. Maybe an invitation letter from a duly authorized unit is required, too.
And then submit your application to the CVASC to apply for the tourist L type which is usually valid for 3 months with stay duration of 30 days. You can apply for an extension before it expires and you should extend it 7 days earlier before its expiry date.
