Is it possible to book a bus tickets in advance if I like to go from Shanghai to Huangshan?

Hey, it is no need to book the ticket in advance. Just go to the South Long-distance Bus Station to get the ticket on the spot. By the way, the coaches are scheduled at 06:37, 07:57, 09:07, 10:27 and 14:39.
