About:Passport

Passport expiry issue > business trip

Hi, my passport expires in 4 months but I need to travel to China urgently on business. Unfortunately I cannot get my passport renewed in time. Is there any work around so that I can still go? I heard about a 72 hour time frame rule, so if I stay less than 3 days can I fly with my current passport? Much appreciate your help! Anna

You can fly with your current passport and use the 72 hour free transit. But please note that, you shouldn’t fly back to UK after transiting in a Chinese city, and you should fly to a third country or region. And only a few Chinese cities carry out the 72 hour policy, so may I know which city you will fly to?
