Me and my family will stop over in Pudong Airport for 17 hours - Need Visa to go out for hotel?

Hi,

Me and my son have Italian passport while my wife have Vietnamese passport.

We will stop for 17 hours in Pudong coming from Korea and flying to Italy. We want to go out from the airport to sleep in one of the hotels near the Airport.

It's any transit permit required? Any problem with the Vietnamese passport?
