About:China Customs Declaration

Can I bring some gifts for friends, less than 5000RMB?

For example, female make up, skin care lotions.

It is ok to bring them in and they'd better be placed in check-in luggage.

Thanks. Why in check-in luggage? I my only carry a carry on small case.

Makeup and lotions belong to liquid items. According to the rules, if each vessel measures over 100ml, or the total amount of all the vessels is more than 1L, they should be put be checked.
