Entering China twice in two places

Hi, I'm planning to travel from Malaysia to Beijing overland and then from Beijing to Ulan Batar in Mongolia. After that I plan to cross Mongolia and then there is a bit of PRC that I will have to cross before I can enter Kazakhstan. Is it possible to get a visa that allows me to go in and out of these two parts of PRC?

I have a UK passport. Thanks!

Zeeshan, if you stop in PRC for less than 24 hours each time, you can use the 24-hour free transit policy, so no transit permit is required. If you don't meet the time requirements, you can apply for a double-entry permit.
