Sending passport to my home country

Hi. My visa is about to expire. I would like some information about sending my passport home and getting it renewed. Is it ok? What about the entry/exit stamp? Also, will I not be in overstay?

If you want to re-apply for it in your home country, you cannot send the application back, you should be in your home country, too. So you should go back to your home country and re-apply for a new entry permit. Otherwise, it cannot be done.

Hello again. Is it possible to change my stay permit, to another Visa type, without leaving China? Or to at least extend it?

It's possible to change the type or extend it seven days before the expiry date at the local exit and entry administration office.

I've gone and they've told me that I can't change my stay permit and that I need to leave the country. Is it true that one can't change a stay permit into another type? I'm really desperate. It expires in about a week.

Please help me. My mom was detained in China because she overstayed. We thought that it'll just 15 days. But her passport was gone that's why she's still there. How long would it take to have her new passport? By the way she is a Filipino.
