Multiple Entry Tourist Visa, can I go to HK for another 90 days

I have a US passport and am currently on an L tourist type in Beijing with Multiple Entries, and each stay is 90 days. Can I just go to Hong Kong after my 90 days is over to get another 90 days or do I have to go back to the US?

Yes, you can just exit mainland PRC and go to HK to get another 90 days. You don’t have to go back to US.
