About:Chinese Embassy in Costa Rica

Can I apply via post to the San Jose embassy

I am a british citizen currently in Costa Rica (puerto Limon) but cannot go to the embassy myself.

I require a tourist visa for a 2 week visit to shanghai.

Is there a postal service / company I can use for an additional fee to assist me.

No, you cannot apply for it by mail. There is no postal service.
You can entrust your friend to submit the application for you, or you can apply for it through a travel agency.
