About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Entering Mainland Twice in a Week

Sorry if this is redundant to the post and other questions asked, but my situation is this:

I'm flying into Shanghai (Pudong) from the U.S. but connecting onward to Hong Kong — I assume I would be allowed in under a 24-hour direct transit for this.

After Hong Kong, I'm flying back to Shanghai to spend 5 days. So will I be eligible for 144-hour visa-free entry until I fly back to the U.S.? Will it be a problem that I was already in mainland PRC a few days prior?

Thanks!

Kyle, there is no need to worry! You are allowed to enter PRC twice in a week.
For your first transit in Shanghai, you can use the 24 hour direct transit.
For your second transit, you are eligible for the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai.
