About:Beijing Transportation

Lodging and tourist information in Beijing

1. Please advise me. Where can I get good budget hotels or cheap but good apartments to stay which is easy to get transport to visit places of interest?
2. Are there tourist information desk/booth at the subway stations? Can they speak English?
3. Do taxis in this city use meters?

1. For accommodation, you may consider the Hi Inn at 32, Beijige Toutiao. It is adjacent to Exit B, Dongdan Station, Metro Line 1 and 5. You can easily go to major attractions by metro or city buses.
2. I am afraid not. But you can find tourist information desks at many attractions, like Wangfujing, Beihai Park, Shichahai, etc. The staff can speak some basic English.
3. Yes! Most taxis in this city drivers use meters. You can see it before getting on the car.
