If you go there for tourism purpose, the required documents include copy of your passport, the application form, a passport-style photo, hotel reservation, transportation arrangement, proof of your financial support, and your travel itinerary to HK. And then submit your application to the embassy of PRC to apply for it. If the embassy processes your application on its own, it takes 4 working days; but if your application is transferred to HK immigration department, it takes 4 – 6 weeks.
