About:China Customs Declaration

Can 2 bottles of wine be taken in to China?

Can they go in carry on or need to be packed in checked suitcase?

If the alcohol content is over 12, you can take less than 1.5L in total without declaration and paying tax. If it is of less than 12% alcohol, you don't have to declare for taking only 2 bottles. It cannot be put into the carry-on luggage. You need to pack them in the check-in suitcase.
