taxi/metro from panyu wanda square to canton trade fair

I'm looking out to book an apartment in Panyu for 6 nights.My main purpose of visiting guangzhou is canton fair. I will be attending the fair for 4 days. I noticed that metro from the apartment to canton fair takes 1 hour 40 minutes. And taxi takes 20 minutes (14 Kms). How much will taxi and metro cost me from my apartment to canton fair. Oh, no way. How come the subway travel to the fair takes that long. As I checked, the nearest metro station from your apartment is Hanxi Changlong, which is around 4km away. Take a taxi to reach within 8min at a cost of no more than CNY15. Then take metro to the fair within half an hour. By taxi, the distance is around 18km and you may need to pay CNY50-60 and it takes at most half an hour. Just make your own decision!
