Just wondering if you purchase Maglev tickets in advance, or as you arrive and get through customs. Do we need local currency first, or are credit cards accepted? We're 2 adults, 2 small kids (2 and 4) and need to get to the hotel, our plane arrives about 6 pm on a Thursday. Thanks for any advice!

1. Just buy the ticket on the spot upon arrival. 2. You can take SMT from PVG to Longyang Road Station. Then, change to metro line 2 to East Nanjing Road Station, Exit 4. Walk west for about 580 yards (520 meters) to the hotel. The SMT train costs CNY 50 per adult. You can enjoy a 80% discount by showing your same day boarding pass. Children less than 4.3 feet (1.3 meters) in height can ride free. 3. You'd better to pay in cash. So you need to convert your money to CNY at the Money Exchange Centers at the airport.They are located at Luggage Claim Area and Guest-Meeting Area of Building B; International Departure Hall in T1; or on the southern and northern sides of the Check-In Area on the Departure Floor, 3F, T2.
