Recommended spending/food/sightseeing money for 6 days in BJ.

Hi there :)
Two of us are thinking about travelling there to see the Great Wall and other main attractions over 5 nights/6 days. Excluding accommodations costs, what would you recommend we take in cash? We live in Japan and use yen but I can figure out Yuan if I need to. Thanks!
