About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Transit in Shanghai, do I need to apply for transit visa?

I'm a Venezuelan Citizen living in Japan, and I'm having a round trip to Venezuela for the holidays, my itinerary includes few hours transit in Shanghai both ways. Do I need to apply for transit G type entry permit?

Dear, if your layover time in Shanghai is less than 24 hours for both legs of your trip, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit. In this case, you don’t need to apply for a transit G type.
