About:China Family Reunion Visa

I want to go to China for 6 weeks, my wife is a Chinese citizen who lives with me in Australia

she has permanent residency here but is still a Chinese citizen, can she write my invitation letter, we are going to travel to many places like Beijing, Shanghai, Nanning. In Nanning we will be staying with my wife's brother, but at the other places we will be in hotels.I have read that we have to have hotel reservation receipts for where we stay, these must be produced with the Q2 Visa application,is this correct.I have been to PRC on a tourist L type many times. if you can give me any important information i will be grateful as I know the Chinese laws change often.

Hi there! Your wife cannot write the invitation letter to you, but you can ask her family member in PRC to write it for you.
As far as I know, when you apply for Q2 type, the hotel reservation is not required in most cases.
