Half day tour in Shanghai

Hi, i will be transiting in SH and have a layover time of at least 13 hours, im planning to make a half day tour around SH. as far as i know, if we present our flight tickets at the immigration counter, we are allowed to roam around the city without a visa, please correct me if im wrong.

Besides that, im planning to make a trip to yu garden/ the bund/ xintiandi. food wise would be 桃源眷村, yang's fried dumplings and jiajia's steamed pork buns. just wondering how many branches are there for 桃源眷村 as the nearest ive found from yu garden/ nanjing road is in xin tian di... pls lemme know if theres any nearest branches near the bund/ nan jing east. thank you!

Do you mean the 72-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Shanghai? Are you from Malaysia? As far as I know, Maylaysia is not in the qualified 51 countries. You'd better to check this with your local embassy.

No no ... It's not the 72 hours visa free pass. I called up China Eastern airlines Malaysian branch and they told me I can visit the city within 24 hours upon showing the immigration officer my flight ticket..

OK. As for 桃园眷村, I found there are three branches, they are respectively located at no. 405 Taizhou Road, Riyueguang Square Xujiahui Road Huangpu District, and Xintiandi. I think the one in Xintiandi is the nearest.
