do i qualify for 144 hrs transit visa?

Question

I have US passport and I am flying from Okinawa to Shanghai and planning to go to Zhangjiajie for 5 days. Then I will fly from Shanghai to Seoul, Korea.

Peggy, when you enjoy the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai, you are not allowed to travel to Zhangjiajie which is in Hunan Province. So as for your situation, you should apply for a tourist L type beforehand.
