About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Definition of Transit

I will be flying from London to Singapore, Singapore to Shanghai and then Shanghai back to the UK. In the description above there is reference to onward flight to a third destination and valid visa for that third destination. Yes, my country of origins prior to entry and destination on departure are different, but my ultimate destination is my point of origin (one for which I do not need an entry permit, so do I qualify?

(My point being that I am in transit back to my home country and not to a third country destination...)

Dear, you qualify for the free transit as long as your transit time in Shanghai is less than 144 hours. When speaking of the 144 hour policy, relative to Singapore and PRC, UK is a third country. So there is no need to worry!
