About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can we register at a police station in the airport?

We are stoping over in shanghai for 2 nights enroute from London back to Australia. Are we able to register our presence in china at a police stain at the airport? We are going to use the new 144 hour visa free policy. We are travelling with our 3 young children so want to make the process as stress free/easy as possible. Thank you.

Actually, if you stay in a hotel, you don't need to register at the police on your own because the hotel will do it for you. I think this is easiest way for you. If you don't stay at a hotel, you may go to the police station in the airport if there is such office.
