China visa for US Military

I am planning to visit Beijing and Xian in May.
What will be the documents I need exactily to apply the tourist L type?

Janet, the required documents contain the filled-out application form attached with a recently-taken passport-sized color photo, your passport and copy of its data page, round trip air tickets and accommodation booking record.
