How to get from Qingdao to Sanya?

Hi, I will be staying in Qingdao for 4 weeks on July and liked to continue some time in China and have a vacation in August in SY perhaps. I assume there is an airport but is there a possibily to travel by bullet train also?
Is August very hot in SY?
Also any good tips and price info of golfing there?

1. The distance is about 1,700 miles (2,750km). There is no direct flight or bullet train service. But you may fly to Haikou from Qingdao (about 5.5 to 6.5 hours). Then, take a bullet train to SY (about 2 hours).
2. Yes, it will be quite hot. The temperature will range from 80F to 90F. It is actually not a good time to go there in august. If insist, just take summer clothes and facilities to protect you from the 'burning' sun.
