Applying for another visa in China

Hi, I am currently on a working (Z) type, and I want to apply within PRC for a (M) business type. I will be leaving PRC and re-entering before I wish to start on the business M type - am I able to apply whilst in PRC instead of waiting until I leave with a pushed time frame in UK?

Laura, you can try to convert your work Z type to business M type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB. But if it doesn’t work, I’m afraid you need to go back to your home country to apply for a business M type.

Okay thanks, is it likely that a Business (M) type will be approved with an invitation letter from my company? There isn't much guidance on M types as I think they are quite new?
Thanks so much, Laura

Yes, Laura. To get the business M type, you need to provide an invitation letter from your company. Sometimes, you may also be required to submit a copy of your company's business license. The M type emerged since 2013. So not too new for you.
