Want to visit bejing what requirements and what to do

My mom and nephew want to travel to bejing just for one week do they need visas just for this?

Julia, yes, they need it. If they go there for sightseeing purpose, they can apply for tourist L type. The first step is to prepare the required documents including the completed application form attached with a passport-style photo, the passport and copy of its data page, round trip air tickets and hotel reservation, and proof of financial support (if it’s the first time they apply for Chinese tourist L type). And then submit the application form to the consulate general of PRC to apply for it.
