Is there a bus from Dali to Xishuangbanna ?

I plan to go back to Thailand, via this route ,Chiang kong.
Although my research found that everybody must head back to kunming first.

Well, direct long-distance buses for the route (for Jinghong, capital of Xishuangbanna)are available. At Xiaguan Bus Station, three are scheduled daily, at 08:20, 09:40 and 11:00. It takes 7-8 hours and costs CNY210.

It is doable to go to Thailand through Xishuangbanna. In the city, you can take a bus to Mengla and then head for Ban Houayxay, Laos, where you can cross the border to Chiangkong.
