About:Great Wall Travel - 8 Key Concerns

Im in beijing on a weekend in April. Which day is better for less crowds to visit the great wall?

Try to not go there on the first weekend, or more specifically April 2-4, as it is the Qingming holiday and there may be more visitors than usual. For the other weekends, it will be no much difference and you can when you have time.
