About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Stop over question 72 hour visa

Hello,
My flight looks like this:
Tokyo - Beijing
Beijing - Los Angeles (with a stop over in Tokyo to change planes)
Am I still qualified for the 72 hour free transit?

So you will fly from Tokyo to Beijing to LA, and on your way from Beijing to LA, you have a stopover in Tokyo? If so, I'm afraid you are not eligible for the 72hr free transit because you return to the country of departure after the stay in Beijing.
