About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

English citizen travelling to beijing for 75 hours

I arrive into Beijing at 1605 on the Friday and leave at 19:45 on the Monday which is about 75 hours and wish to visit the Great Wall of China as I know the visa states you must stay in Beijing. Would I be eligible?

Dear, considering your situation, you are advised to call the Beijing Airport Immigration Inspection and ask whether you can enjoy the 72 hour free transit or not because your layover time is 75 hours. If yes, you can visit the Great Wall of China; if not, I’m afraid you need to apply for a tourist L type or transit G type in advance.
