About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I have to get a visitors visa if we want to visit Beijing (New Zealand Passports)

We have 6 days within the 144 hour policy for a stop over in Shanghai but would like to visit Beijing as we are so close. Do we really have to pay and get a single entry permit to move travel to Beijing and then back to Shanghai? THANKS

Dear, if you want to visit Beijing when you transit in Shanghai, you should apply for a single-entry tourist L type in advance of your trip.
