1. It is best to fly to Chengdu within 2h and 10min. Bullet trains are also available for the journey, but the duration is much longer, around 10.5h.
2. If by train, you should go to Changsha South Railway Station and it takes you to Chengdu East Railway Station.
Bus stations in Changsha: East, West, North, South, Changzhutan and Lituo Bus Stations. In Chengdu, the major ones are Chadianzi, Xinanmen, East, North, Shiyangchang and Shangmaocheng Bus Stations.
3. From downtown Chengdu, it is best to take a taxi to the Panda Base at the cost of around CNY40. It takes around 20min.
4. If you refer to the trip in Chengdu, the Chunxi Road, Wuhou Temple an Jinli Street are recommended. If time permits, go to Jiuzhaigou Vally and Huanglong Scenic Area for fun, although they are far from the city. And when taking a taxi in the city, do ask the driver to charge by meter before boarding. To rent one for long-distance trip, it is best to negotiate a fee in advance.
