Yes, you can walk to Dengshi Dongkou Bus Stop to take the bus No. 685 to Dongwuyuan Transportation Hub station. Then walk about 500 yards, you will reach the zoo.

How about from sanlintun to the zoo or vise versa by bus or subway?I hve not decided yet, which one to visit first, zoo or sanlintun from shijia hutong.

You may take bus line 701 from Workers' Stadium to Erligou Dongkou Station. Then, walk north along Dongwuyuan Road for about 600 yards to the zoo. For the return trip, you can take the same bus. :)
