What's involved in changing the return date on a visa?

I'm traveling from US to China then back to US with someone else who booked my flight home on the wrong date (a day later than it was supposed to be) - so therefore, the date is also wrong on my entry permit. How difficult is it to change the departure date on it? What is the cost? My departure date is two weeks away, and my trip is 10 days.

Sue, I don’t think you can change the return date on your entry permit, but you can try to apply for an extension of your entry permit at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB. In this case, you can stay for a few more days and then leave on the return date.
