He believed in Legalism. He ruled the country with laws.

He also believed in the afterlife(be born again)so his people would kill peasants(slaves)so that he would
have peasants by his side when he is in the afterlife. His people also made clay people that all have different faces and horses so that he could still be a ruler during his afterlife. His people also made him a tomb that has him and his things, so that he has his things that he need while he is in the afterlife.

He believed that he could ge immortality if he contained his breath. He used these special plugs and after he died they believed that if it worked they would find a feather where his body was, this ment that he as still alive but it did never work. He also hunted for the mushroom shaped islands where the angles that gave you immortality lived but alas he never found them.
