About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Ref: 72 hour visa free transit

Hi
I will be flying from Tokyo to London via Beijing. I hoped to use the 72 hour free transit however, it seems that my plane makes a 45 minute technical stop at Dalian before Beijing. Would I still be able to gain the 72 hour free transit?
Thank you
Rory

Rory, if so, you cannot use the 72 hour free transit. You should apply for a transit G type or tourist L type beforehand.

Thank you Dora. Would I be able to use the 24 hour free stay? The plane touches down in Dalian 24 hours and 40 minutes before it leaves Beijing for London. Thank you for your help!

Dear, you mean your stopover time in Dalian and Beijing exceeds 24 hours? If yes, I’m afraid it’s too risky. You’d better apply for a transit G type or tourist L type in advance.
