information working visa shanghai

hi im living in shanghai now changed job to full time Employment iv applyed for a working Z type .i have english passport .when approved do i need to go back to london and get new work Z type from there or can i get it from hk..if i have to go back to uk .how long i have to be there as i need to start my new job ?
