First of all, you can pass the border and enter Zhuhai. Walk west for 5-8min to Zhuhai Railway Station. Many bullet trains there can take you to Guangzhou South Railway Station. The schedules are from 07:00 to 22:45. The duration is no more than 1.5 hours. The ticket fare of first class seat is CNY90 and second class seat is CNY70.

Yes, it is okay to walk with your luggage. You need to book the ticket in advance through TravelChinaGuide in case that the tickets might be sold out. You can contact them through bookingtravelchinaguide.com. :)

HI Thelma:
Thanks for your help here. I have been doing some reading and see that taking bus from the Macao (pick up from some hotels) going through the border and then being dropped off at some hotels in Guangzhou is a better option. Some blogs saying that the train is not really good for luggage (no space to put them). I know bus takes longer than train.
Do you think it is better to go from Macao to HK then from HK to Guangzhou instead of going straight to Guangzhou?

Well, it is a detour to go via Hong Kong. You can put your luggage onto the rack of the train. If you prefer taking a bus, you may take a bus to Guangzhou from Gongbei Bus Station after crossing the border gate to Zhuhai.

Also, you can take a direct bus to Guangzhou from Macao Tower, Grand Emperor Hotel or Hotel Lisboa. The buses depart at 15:00 (except Friday), 17:30, 18:00, and 18:30 from Macao Tower, pass by the two hotels mentioned above, and head for Guangzhou. :)
