About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

5-year residence permit

I have been legally working and living in China since early 2011, renewing my residence permit every one year. My current residence permit will expire next month. I have heard that new regulations allow to apply for 5-year residence permit, but I cannot find more information about requirements and other details of the procedure. Where can I find reliable and detailed information on this?

Ann, I think it’s not likely for you to apply for 5-year residence permit in PRC unless you have assumed the post of deputy general manager or high post in your company for at least 4 years in a row and satisfy other requirements.
You can focus on the latest news and new policy, or search for relevant information at the official website of ministry of foreign affairs of PRC.
