About:China Visa

Invitation Letter for visa

I checked with Consulate General of China in Dubai if Invitation letter from the inviting individual or company is enough for visa application but they said we need to get invitation letter from duly authorized unit;this applies for both tourist and business visa for pakistani national. but some are saying that one is enough. please help

Shane, you should believe what the consulate has told you. If they say the invitation letter from duly authorized unit is required, then it must be provided. Moreover, based on my experience, this letter is indeed needed for Pakistani nationals.

That's what I also thought. But one thing more, this Chinese (HKSAR) sponsor that we have is also insisting that the Government of China does not issue such invitation because they are not the inviting party; according to him they have checked with many people in China and are unable to receive information whereby a MOFA will give a invitation letter since the invitation comes from an Individual or a Company, And Hence the MOFA is not in a position to invite any person or any organization of any nationality because the trip is not a Diplomatic trip intended to visit China on a Government invitation.. although we have explained to him that we got the information from the Consulate General of PRC.
